Joanna Graves, Continental Manager - International Olympic Committee and Richard Peterkin, International Olympic Member paid a courtesy visit on the Bahamas Olympic Committee its Executives and Members. The IOC dignitaries also called on the Hon. Charles Maynard, who thanked them for visiting the shores of the Bahamas on behalf of the government and wonderful people of the Bahamas. Membership of the Bahamas Olympic Committee was briefed on the opportunities available through Olympic Solidarity, to assist in their preparation for London 2012. President, Wellington Miller of the BOC, said he was most grateful that the IOC selected the Bahamas as one of the countries to visit; the benefits of which will be manifested in months and years to come. The two days of visits which began Novemeber 22nd, included working sessions and sharing of information between the two Olympic Committees; at the conclusion of the visit the Bahamas was given a mark of B+. It was also announced - the BOC in two years, accessed more funding through Olympic Solidarity beginning 2008,- than it did in the previous four years. President Miller, BOC said this bit of news is a testament to the BOC's motto "Athlete’s FIRST".
