The preparation of athletes for this Olympic cycle requires further financial resources, new technical medium for training, as well as specialized attention at Continental High Level Training Centers that count with all proper technical and logistic conditions.

The Continental Scholarships for Athletes Program is a new option for the preparation of athletes, implemented for the first time in the Americas. With its own resources, the BOC /PASO will execute this Program.

The Bahamas Olympic Committee through the Pan American Sports Organization will cover the expenses related to the Scholarships Program. Each NF may send 3 athletes and one coach of the 20 individual sports in the 2016 Olympic Program.
