Freedom Farm Opens Season

The Freedom Farm Baseball League opened its baseball and softball season January 18.

 

The league began the day with a church service and Holy Cross Anglican Church. The service was followed by a march of solidarity from the church on Soldier Road to the Freedom Park baseball fields. Players, coaches and officials wore pink T shirts in support of breast cancer awareness.

 

Immediately following the opening ceremony, scheduled teams played the first games of the season.  The league’s T-Ball, Coaches Pitch, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15 and 16 – 30 divisions will end their season in the summer with exciting playoffs and championships featuring the teams that perform at the highest levels.
